The New Mexican, whether Indio, Primo or Anglo, are surrounded by plants whose medicinal uses are known and have been utilized for hundreds if not thousands of years. The remedies found in our store are a hybrid of two cultures. The Spanish Primos brought their traditional herbs, such as Manzanilla and Alucema; the Pueblo Indians introduced the Spanish to Inmortal and Oshá. Most are used in a tea form, to be drank.
Herb uses are constantly changing. Talk to a Pharmacist or our resident remedio expert, Priscilla Montoya about remedies and concentrations.
We stock over 100 different herbs and have them packaged in economical portions.
